Skoda approved a new CUV

Manufacturing of 4WD model of Czech first CUV will start in 2009. As expected, a small crossover would go for sale the same year.
Jeep will be based on a completely new platform, and not on the platform of VW Tiguan. According to one version, it will be a platform next-generation Skoda Fabia, the one Volkswagen engineers are now working at. And according to another version Yeti will be based on a modernized platform of the minivan Roomster. New small “jeep” is a big part of Skoda’s plans to release 4 new models till 2010.
